Your Client’s Notes, Handled.
Agency VFX is rarely about one big shot. It is the label that has to read perfectly, the packshot that has to be spotless, and the same fix applied across a hero film and every cutdown.
This page is about how agencies work with us day to day. If you need the full commercial post-production workflow — editorial, VFX, motion graphics, colour finishing and delivery — see our commercial VFX and post-production page.
The Agency Side of VFX.
The pressure on an agency producer comes from two directions: the client and the calendar.
- 01
Late client notes
A brand team spots a label crease or a reflection after the offline is approved, and the fix is still needed for the original air date.
- 02
Many versions
One campaign becomes a hero film, cutdowns and several aspect ratios, and every fix has to carry through all of them.
- 03
Rounds of approval
Notes pass between agency and client before reaching the vendor, so clarity on each round matters.
- 04
Launch secrecy
Unreleased products and campaigns cannot leak before launch, so every vendor on the job has to keep them confidential.
The Fixes Agencies Ask For.
Most agency requests fall into a handful of shot types, and we treat each with the same care whether it is one frame or a full spot.
Send us the shot and the client’s note as written. We’ll confirm our understanding before starting, so the first version answers the note rather than our interpretation of it.
- Product and packshot cleanup — dust, scratches, reflections, creases: paint & cleanup
- Logo and label removal or correction: object and logo removal
- Screen replacement comps on phones, laptops and displays: compositing with tracking
- Talent skin and make-up fixes: beauty cleanup
- Cutouts for motion graphics and backgrounds: rotoscoping and keying
- Rig and support removal on product shoots: wire & rig removal
Brief to Approved Master.
Our five-stage process, shaped around agency approval rounds.
Working on IST, we can progress shots while your team is offline. To scope accurately, it helps to share the edit, the shot list, the client’s notes and every deliverable version up front — our plate preparation guide lists what to send.
Tell us about every deliverable at the start: the hero length, cutdowns, and each aspect ratio. A packshot cleanup done on the full frame can serve every reframe; one done only for the hero crop may need redoing when the vertical version arrives.
We keep each review round clearly labelled, so you can tell at a glance which version answers which note — useful when the same shot has been through the agency, the brand team and legal before it is approved.
- 01Brief
Capture the client’s note
We review the shots, the notes and every version you need, and confirm what “finished” looks like.
- 02Shot preparation
Plan for every version
Fixes are planned so they carry through the hero film, cutdowns and aspect ratios without redoing work.
- 03Production
Build the shots
Artists complete cleanup, comps and roto to the agreed note.
- 04Review rounds
Agency, then client
Each round is checked internally first. We work through your notes round by round, clearly versioned.
- 05Final delivery
Every version, delivered
Approved shots are delivered securely in the formats and versions the campaign needs.
Working With RotoEdge.
Confidential before launch
NDAs are signed before footage is shared, and only assigned artists see the work. Nothing is shown publicly without written permission. See security.
One team, many disciplines
Roto, paint, keying, matchmove and compositing from the same studio, so a multi-step fix stays with one team.
Artist-checked frames
AI-assisted tools may speed up repetitive steps; quality control and final approvals stay with our artists.
Agency Questions.
Can you take on small, quick-turn fixes?
Yes. We take on single-shot fixes, such as a label correction or a packshot cleanup, as well as full spots. Tell us your deadline when you send the shot and we’ll confirm whether we can meet it before starting.
Can one fix carry across cutdowns and aspect ratios?
Yes. Share every version you need at the start, and we plan the work so the fix is applied consistently across all of them.
How do you handle multiple rounds of client notes?
Each round is versioned clearly and checked internally before it goes back to you, so you can share it with your client with confidence.
Will you keep an unreleased campaign confidential?
Yes. We sign an NDA before footage is shared, limit access to the assigned artists and never show work publicly without written permission.
Do you handle the full commercial post-production?
Yes, if you need it. Editorial, VFX, motion graphics, colour finishing and delivery are covered on our commercial VFX page.
